I thought this one needed it's own post. I have wanted to see a kangaroo in the wild since we got here. I have seen the head of a mom and joey from a distance in a reserve, but I didn't count that one. These pictures are not necessarily in the wild but they also are not closed in by a fence they can come and go at the will. This is Pinaroo Valley Memorial Park, its actually a cemetary. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to post a video but I will at least share pictures.

KANGAROOS
What are we doing?
Based on my facebook and blog posts it may appear that we just play and have fun. We actually do very little of that but found out due to Australian Privacy Laws there is very little I can say about the actual work we do. I can say we still pick up bread at the Bakehouse and deliver to shelters and food kitchen type places. We have received a few callings in our branch, we both teach Gospel Doctrine, we are 2nd counselors in the Elders Quorum and Relief Society and we are going to start teaching temple preparation class. We are currently working with 3 family units each with different dynamics. We teach, minister and testify to the truths we know. It is my favorite thing we do. We got a new vehicle because of the territory we live in and travel the mission thought we needed a 4 wheel drive. Parts of our branch are 5 hours away. We hope to be able to go visit them soon.
Zone Conference - February 2025
Since I haven't been able to get the blog to work for awhile I am way behind. I am going to go ahead and jump in with the zone conference we just had incase I don't ever catch up. Sorry!
Zone Conference is a wonderful time of renewal. We live in a pretty hot desolate place and Perth is quite a bit cooler and a busy city. We stayed in an Airbnb with 3 other senior couples. This zone conference we were able to use one of the mission cars which was great because we could get around town without having to bother another couple. We did a boat tour of the Swan River from Perth to Freemantle. It was very interesting to hear some of the history/facts.
Zone Conference Training is always so good. Our Mission President does an excellent job and we always come away uplifted and motivated.
WA Maritime Museum
Crawley Edge Boatshed first my picture then one a real photographer took. I love this little scene and just wanted to see it in person.
Cyclone Sean - Category 1
So I had this post made back in January and I couldn't get it to publish. It's old news now but just wanted to document it. Our first cyclone. It was actually kind of fun. Since it wasn't a threat we just enjoyed the storm and the experience. It started as a Category 1 but increased winds bumped it up to Category 2. This is the after picture.
